Simple Summer Tablescape

Hello friends!

Summer is in full swing at my house. The kids reluctantly began a new school year, the days are long and hot, Friday night football is back but fall is a boot scoot away.

Before Summer fades, get creative with a summer tablescape.  Cacti and succulents are all the rage. Haven’t you noticed? They can be seen in catalogs, art stores and online sites.

Starting off in the center, a bright orange lantern surrounded by the cutest table setting.  Cream colored dinner plates, melamine plates designed with vibrant succulents and cacti.  Orange acrylic tumblers with a bubble-like design. I’m seeing a trend here with “orange.”  Small cacti in terra-cotta pots are the making of the charming place card holders.  Finishing off the setting with orange napkins held by mossy green succulent napkin rings.

Here are the salad plate designs. So fun and inexpensive!

Normally, I would display fresh flowers or plants but found these were  life-like and concluded they were a perfect fit. Each placed on opposite sides of the table. Love!

As you can see, very realistic.  My husband thought I stole my daughter’s cactus plant from her bedroom. I laughed and said, “Nope, they are from Pottery Barn.”

You don’t have to be a designer to pull off a great tablescape.  It’s fun, easy and affordable.  Most products I purchase are on sale. I rarely pay full price for anything.  You might have to wait a bit, but it is worth the savings. I hope you find a little inspiration here to create your own summer tablescape for entertaining or having fun with your family.

Table of Contents

Fun Fact: The Table of Contents and Reading Progress areas auto populate, you don’t have to do a thing to make those show information. The Table of Contents uses your headings to track sections, and the reading progress bar just moves as your reader scrolls down the page. Pretty cool! You can also disable any of these features if you prefer they not appear in your sidebar or elsewhere on the site. Everything is easily customized, and toggled off/on with this theme.
