It’s the middle of July! The weather in the ATL has been gorgeous. Usually, I am praying this month magically disappears.
It’s this time of year, I already see the change coming in my thoughts such as big yellow school buses headed to school, pre-season football, Fall fashions and crisp cool evenings.
So my friends, to celebrate the soon arrival of the “Most Wonderful Time of the Year,” this is your chance to win a $100.00 Visa Card.
To be eligible for this drawing, please subscribe to my new blog (It’s at the top of my website) and comment on this post where you live and how would you spend the $100.00. This is not a sponsored event.
That’s it!
Pretty darn easy way to cash in on a $100.00! I will announce the winner July 25th on my blog and Facebook page.
Good luck and enjoy your weekend~
If I won the money I would spend it on my daughter Shelby. She works two jobs and takes care of a very rowdy two year old named Grayson. (The only man in my life) LOL. Her husband lost his job and is having a hard time finding a new one. So money is very tight in their household. I would help more often but my money is tight as well. Any extra money that comes Shelby’s way is spent on Grayson and I sooo understand but she never spends anything on herself. I would love to take her out and buy her a new outfit and get her toes done. It would be so worth $100.00 to have a girls day out with her and be able to give her these things. Thanks for the chance Kellie!!!!!
Tracy
Tracy, by your comment, I know you are a wonderful, caring Mom. Times are very hard as we all know and I’m so sorry your daughter and family are suffering. I’ll be saying a little prayer for you all and I appreciate your honesty. My main reason for creating this blog, helps me share things I love and hopefully, I can help someone along the way. Wishing you luck….Kellie
Let’s face it- In these hard times and living in an economy that stinks we all could use the gift card. I am NEVER SELFISH and I only make sure my 3 kids and husband are taken care of in every way except financially. With that said I am going to be honest and selfish. I only own 1 pair of jeans and never have a day to myself. If I won this, I wouldn’t tell a soul and after school starts I would take myself out to eat at the local sandwich shop and buy myself a pair of jeans from Wal-Mart. I grew up not having to worry about food and clothing. I swore I would NEVER wear something from Wal-Mart. 14 years and 2 of my 3 children having Autism taught me unselfishness, simplicity and that money/fashion/face doesn’t make the world go round. Needless to say I wear gently used clothing and am fine with that. I know selfishness is a sin and my reason is not worthy but I had tremendous fun imagining receiving it in the mail and stealthfully enjoying a sandwhich, coke and searching for jeans in a length to fit my long legs! Good Luck Tracy!
Melinda, Girl, I know you are not selfish! Always doing for your family and others. You are so deserving. Hang in there, you might be getting those jeans! Kellie
This is Amber from Prosper. If I win the $100 gift card I am giving it to North Texas Food Bank. They are in desperate need of canned goods right now. Summer is a slow time for them so this would really be Christmas in July for a lot of people.
Hi Amber, a generous plan, indeed! It’s true as the others commented, this is a trying time for many. I believe together, we can make a difference one small act of kindness at a time. Good luck!! Kellie
Hi Kelly! So excited to be a part of this contest! I’m in Ohio and as far as what I would do with an extra $100, I honestly don’t know just yet. Soo many ideas come to mind. So it’s something I’ll have to ponder on for a bit! Good luck to the other entries as well! Love your blog Kellie it’s great!
Hello Stacy, I’m sure you could put it to
Good use! Good luck tomorrow with the baseball game! I’m rooting for those sweet boys! Kellie
Jean, jeans and more jeans!
Ana, Good luck to you! I’m hoping to fit into my jeans by Fall. lol…Have a great day!
Hi Kellie if I won the gift card I would. Help my daughter buy my 2 grandsons some school clothes. She is a single mom of 4 and works very hard but times get hard. This would truly be a blessing for me to help her out some. Thank you and have a great day.
Good morning, Kimberley. My hat is off to single Moms! I have a husband who helps me tremendously and still I feel I cannot get everything accomplished, at times. A single mom with four kids has to be exhausting for your daughter. What an exceptional person to carry such a heavy load and still be a loving Mom. I’m sure as a Grandparent, it is difficult to see the hardship and struggles. I am blessed at this moment, but was very poor growing up and I do understand not having the things you need. I read each comment and say a prayer for each person. I’m praying the the load will be lifted and I wish you all the best! Kellie
If I won, I have to admit I would buy myself something special, after all, July 25th happens to be my birthday. I have four girls and a husband and am the last in line to be taken care of, by choice. I could never come home empty handed though, so with the leftover money, I would have to bring the girls home something too!
Hey, there is nothing wrong with doing something nice for yourself. I believe, most people care and are giving. Moms and Dads put their kids and other family members first, sometimes forgetting they need a little “Me Time.” Oh my! You all are so deserving,
it’s breaking my heart! Well, I’m hoping your birthday is the best! Kellie
Hi Kellie,
If I won the 100.00, I’d give it to my BFF. She’s raising her daughter’s son and at our age, lol, that’s hard. But, you do what you have to. Between me and my husband and her and husband, we’ll get him raised and he won’t worth a dime lol. Thanks and have a great day,
Becky
Oh, I forgot; I live in KY
Love Kentucky!
Hi Becky, It’s so heartwarming to see how families and friends come together to help during difficult times. There is no doubt, these are hard times with grocery prices rising and gas, as well. You truly are a best friend. Thank you for commenting. Of course, I would love nothing more than to have a lot of people enter to help my blog along but more importantly, it’s about sharing and helping along the way. Good luck! Kellie
I need a lot more than $100 right now, so I would use this as seed money and sow it into another ministry. God Bless Kellie, thanks for the contest opportunity.
Hi there, thank you for commenting. I’m sorry you too are having a difficult time. You’re kindness for others is up-lifting. I hope you have a nice evening. Kellie
Hi, we are from Utah and are trying to get to Florida to visit my Mother in law in September. This will probably be the last time my husband sees his Mom while she is alive and we just found out my husband needs open heart surgery and has an unknown mass in his chest. Starting some tough times but we’ll keep on smiling!
Yes, you are quite away from Florida. It’s so difficult when loved ones live a far distance. I’m so sorry to hear your husband needs surgery. I’m sure you are dealing with much stress. I sound like a broken record but I’m praying for all of you and I hope your trip to Florida happens soon 🙂
I’m from Wisconsin. If I win, I will spend the $$$$ taking my sister out to a really nice place for dinner and a afternoon of shopping. Both of our Birthday’s are in August, so I guess it would really be something special for both of us.
You can’t go wrong with shopping and dinner! I hope you both have a wonderful birthday and best of luck! Kellie
